Mission of Emergency department is to treat all emergency cases directly and properly on a twenty-four hour basis. Treatment comprises: clinical examination of the patient, laboratory and imaging tests suitable to one's case, correct and timely diagnosis of the acute problem and application of the suitable treatment.

The Emergency Department is staffed by specialized General Practitioners, as well as physicians of all specialties (surgeons, physicians, cardiologists, ENT, urologists, etc.), who undertake the specialized care and treatment of the case if necessary. After the initial treatment of the acute problem and depending on the nature and severity of the disease, the patient is either admitted to the appropriate clinic, or stays for short hours of hospitalization, or leaves after being given the appropriate instructions and medication.

In case a patient does not have the ability to go to the Hospital alone, there is always an ambulance available, staffed by experienced staff who undertake its safe transport to the ICU. Mission of Accident and Emergency department is the immediate and correct treatment of all emergencies on a 24-hour basis. This treatment includes: the clinical examination of the patient, the appropriate laboratory and imaging examinations, the correct and timely diagnosis of the acute problem and the application of appropriate treatment.

Treatment:

• Serious injuries, such as fractures or head injuries
• Vomiting or coughing up blood
• Signs and symptoms of a stroke, including sudden numbness in one limb
• Symptoms of a heart attack, including chest pain and / or shortness of breath
• Seizures or loss of consciousness
• Deep cuts or bleeding that will not stop
• Severe burns
• Severe abdominal pain
